Plymouth High School Choirs sing with National Youth Choir in Carnegie Hall!

Plymouth High School's Choirs have been invited to sing at Carnegie Hall, in New York City this spring.  The choir program goes on a trip every other year, where they participate in the Worldstride Heritage Music Festival.  In the past, the program as gone to NYC, Boston, Chicago, & Nashville.  At the festival, they perform 3 pieces, and receive meaningful feedback and a score from 3 judges.  Their strong past performances/scores have earned them the invitation to sing at Carnegie Hall, the most prestigious music venue in the United States. 

 

The students were in New York City from March 29th to April 1st, 2019.  They worked closely with world renowned conductor, Edith Copley.  The performance will be in collaboration with other selected schools to perform 6 pieces as. part of the National Youth Choir.  The trip included sight-seeing to the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Anastasia the musical, and much more. Congrats 2018.2019 Choir students on a job well done!

Concert Choir selected as Teen Choral Partner with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra 

Plymouth's Concert Choir has been selected as one of the top choirs in the state to be Teen Choral Partner with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for this upcoming 2017/2018 year! They were chosen through a blind audition process, and will perform with 2 other high schools at the Teen Choral Concert.  

They will work closely with renowned conductor Randal Swiggum to prepare Leonard Bernstein’s "Chichester Psalms" before rehearsing with the MSO and performing the work during the Teen Concert on February 14, 2018 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts' Uihlein Hall.

Meet Mrs. Smith!

Mrs. Smith grew up in Green Bay, WI where she was constantly involved in music and choir.  In 2013 she lead Green Bay Preble High School's Center Stage Show Choir to one of the top show choirs  in the State of Wisconsin.  She is in love with the Plymouth Community and is excited for many years to come here at PHS!
